संयुक्त रक्षा सेवा (सीडीएस) परीक्षा अधिकारियों के रूप में भारतीय सशस्त्र बलों में शामिल होने के इच्छुक प्रचारकों के लिए काफी हद तक प्रतिस्पर्धी और मांग वाली परीक्षा है। सीडीएस परीक्षा संघ लोक सेवा आयोग (यूपीएससी) द्वारा दो बार आयोजित की जाती है और पात्रता मानदंडों को पूरा करने वाले पुरुषों और महिलाओं दोनों प्रचारकों के लिए खुली है।


 सीडीएस परीक्षा तीन चरणों में आयोजित की जाती है - एक लिखित परीक्षा, उसके बाद एक सेवा चयन बोर्ड (एसएसबी) साक्षात्कार, और अंततः एक चिकित्सा परीक्षा। लिखित परीक्षा एक ऑफ़लाइन मोड में आयोजित की जाती है और इसमें वस्तुनिष्ठ प्रकार के प्रश्न होते हैं।


 प्रश्नों को तीन खंडों में विभाजित किया गया है - अंग्रेजी, सामान्य ज्ञान और प्राथमिक गणित। लिखित परीक्षा की कुल अवधि पांच घंटे है। सीडीएस परीक्षा का अंग्रेजी अनुभाग एक साधक की अंग्रेजी भाषा को सही ढंग से समझने और उपयोग करने की क्षमता का परीक्षण करता है।


 इस खंड के प्रश्न मोटिफ्स पर आधारित होते हैं जैसे प्रशंसा मार्ग, समानार्थक शब्द, विलोम, भाव और भाव, और वर्णमाला के नियम।

 सेवा चयन बोर्ड (एसएसबी) साक्षात्कार सीडीएस परीक्षा का वैकल्पिक चरण है। यह पांच दिनों तक चलने वाली प्रक्रिया है जो एक साधक की शारीरिक फिटनेस, नेतृत्व की दर और समग्र व्यक्तित्व का परीक्षण करती है। SSB इंटरव्यू में इंटेलिजेंस टेस्ट, पिक्चर परसेप्शन और डिस्क्रिप्शन टेस्ट (PPDT), ग्रुप डिस्कशन, ग्रुप प्लानिंग एक्सरसाइज, इंडिविजुअल ऑब्स्ट्रक्टल्स, कमांड टास्क, फाइनल ग्रुप टास्क और स्पेशल इंटरव्यू जैसे रंगीन टेस्ट होते हैं। चिकित्सा परीक्षा सीडीएस परीक्षा का अंतिम चरण है। यह सुनिश्चित करने के लिए आयोजित किया जाता है कि नामित प्रचारक भारतीय सशस्त्र बलों में शामिल होने के लिए चिकित्सकीय रूप से फिट हैं।

The Combined Defence Services( CDS) examination is a  largely competitive and sought- after examination for  campaigners seeking to join the Indian Armed Forces as officers. The CDS examination is conducted twice a time by the Union Public Service Commission( UPSC) and is open to both  manly and  womanish  campaigners who meet the eligibility criteria.  

 The CDS examination is conducted in three stages – a written examination, followed by a Service Selection Board( SSB) interview, and eventually a medical examination. The written examination is conducted in an offline mode and consists of objective- type questions.

 The questions are divided into three sections – English, General Knowledge, and Elementary Mathematics. The total duration of the written examination is five hours.   The English section of the CDS examination tests a  seeker's capability to understand and use English language  rightly.

 The questions in this section are grounded on  motifs  similar as appreciation passages, synonyms, antonyms, expressions and expressions, and  alphabet rules.  

 The General Knowledge section of the CDS examination tests a  seeker's knowledge of current events and general  mindfulness. The questions in this section are grounded on  motifs  similar as history,  terrain, polity, economics,  wisdom and technology, and sports.   The Elementary Mathematics section of the CDS examination tests a  seeker's  fine  capacities.

 The questions in this section are grounded on  motifs  similar as  computation, algebra,  figure, trigonometry, and statistics.

   The Service Selection Board( SSB) interview is the alternate stage of the CDS examination. It's a five- day long process that tests a  seeker's physical fitness, leadership  rates, and overall personality. The SSB interview consists of  colorful tests  similar as the Intelligence Test, Picture Perception and Description Test( PPDT), Group Discussion, Group Planning Exercise, Individual Obstacles, Command Task, Final Group Task, and particular Interview.   The medical examination is the final stage of the CDS examination. It's conducted to  insure that the  named  campaigners are medically fit to join the Indian Armed Forces. 

The medical examination includes a detailed physical examination, laboratory tests, and other necessary medical tests.   The CDS examination is a  largely competitive examination, and the selection process is rigorous. The  campaigners who clear all the stages of the examination are  named for training at the  separate  seminaries of the Indian Armed Forces – the Indian Military Academy( IMA), the Indian Naval Academy( INA), and the Air Force Academy( AFA).
